When a truck runs over people in downtown Los Angeles, the main suspects are Devyn Qabbani and Charlotte Gorry: former friends who stopped talking in high school. Well, now they have to talk again. Someone knows they're not completely human. It’s hard enough being Syrian American in the U.S. and now Devyn is just discovering they’re both half-Jinni — while Charlotte has known all along. Their only chance of stopping the next terror attack? Trusting each other. And finding out who they really are — with or without their otherworldly abilities. /// novel in progress / fantasy / adult fiction
